Wishing Stones Studio & Gallery

Wishing Stones Studio & Gallery is located in the old general store building at 151 Southeast Cove Road. Proprietor Hillary Dionne is a full-time island resident and self-taught nature photographer. At Wishing Stones you will find many interesting photos of Tancook Island and vicinity, a small selection of beach glass jewelry and giftware, and a lending library with books, magazines and movies for all ages. Also, the Tancook Island Museum has been moved into the gallery from it’s original location in the building next door. Approximately one mile from the ferry’s berth, Wishing Stones is a charming, interesting and peaceful place to stop as you explore beautiful Tancook Island. Norma’s Treasure Chest

norma's treasure chest Located in the cheerful yellow building Back-A-Long, you’ll find a variety of items including antiques, local crafts, Tancook souvenirs, and fire department t-shirts; as well as new and used items, like children’s toys, books and novels, household items, and clothing. There are also a variety of sea treasures, including starfish, shells, beach glass, sand dollars and urchins. To find Norma’s Treasure Chest, head to the top of the wharf hill, and turn left. The shop is about a five minute walk from the ferry. It is open daily, and the proprietor is happy to be contacted should you arrive outside of business hours. Sea Myst Gallery

SeaMyst Located in an old fishing shanty within view of the ferry wharf in Northeast Cove, Sea Myst is a charming gift shop and gallery filled with maritime art, jewelry, textiles, and unique treasures for kids. Come explore the magic of mermaids and sea dragons, and be sure to say ‘Hi’ to the shop’s pet pig Ruby while you’re there. Shop owner Angela Connoly looks forward to welcoming you this summer.
